What Bespoke Costs, and Why

How Kada thinks about the investment in a private journey to Peru.

A private journey to Peru begins with a single question: what kind of trip do you want to take? Not in general terms, but specifically — where, when, with whom, and in what style. Everything that follows — hotels, guides, pacing, experiences — flows from that conversation.

A bespoke journey to Peru from Kada starts from USD 1,200 per person, per day. That figure reflects a specific level of travel: private guides throughout, handpicked accommodation in four- and five-star properties, private vehicles, internal transfers, and the planning attention of a specialist who knows Peru in depth.

The figure rises with choices. A suite at the Belmond Monasterio costs more than a standard room at Casa Andina Premium. A private dinner at an archaeological site costs more than a restaurant reservation. A helicopter transfer to Choquequirao costs more than a bus. These are not surprises — they are decisions. Kada's role is to name them clearly, early.

What does not change regardless of investment: no group departures, no template itineraries, no design fee. Every journey Kada designs is designed once, for the person asking.

As a guide

USD 1,200

per person, per day

This figure reflects private guiding throughout, accommodation in four-star and above properties, private vehicles, internal transfers, and park entries. The journey is designed specifically for you — at no additional charge.

How the journey is designed

No Design Fee

Every Kada journey begins with a complimentary consultation — a conversation to understand who is travelling, what they are hoping to find in Peru, and how Kada can build an itinerary around that. There is no design fee. The journey is planned in full before any commitment is requested.

Most itineraries go through two or three rounds of refinement before a deposit is asked. When the traveller is ready to confirm, a fifty-percent deposit secures inventory — hotel suites, train seats, permits, named guides. The balance is due ninety days before departure.

What Kada Does Not Offer

Kada does not offer standalone day tours, pre-arranged group itineraries, or set-departure circuits. Every Kada journey is private from start to finish — every guide is named, every vehicle is exclusive, every route is designed from scratch for the traveller asking.

Travellers looking for a set-departure programme, a group tour, or a packaged circuit will find a better fit elsewhere. Kada's value is in the specificity of the design — and that requires a single traveller (or group) to design around.

Upgrades & Special Access

For travellers who want to layer in something exceptional — a suite at a Relais & Châteaux property, the Andean Explorer sleeper train, a private charter flight to Choquequirao, an after-hours visit to a Cusco archaeological site, a private chef for a high-altitude dinner in the Sacred Valley — Kada designs these as discrete additions to any journey. Each is quoted individually and added only when it serves the specific journey.

Hotel Investment

By Category

Hotel category is the single largest variable in a journey's total cost. Kada designs across three tiers — and often combines them strategically within a single itinerary.

Five Stars

Belmond, Inkaterra Collection, Sumaq, Cirqa, Titilaka and equivalents. The most distinguished addresses in Peru.

Suite rates, seasonal premiums, and bespoke additions are quoted individually once the journey's shape is confirmed.

Four Stars Premium

Casa Andina Premium, Costa del Sol Wyndham Premium, select boutique properties. Refined service at a lower per-night rate than Five Stars.

Often paired with Five-Star upgrades on key nights within the same itinerary.

Four Stars

Casa Andina Select and refined equivalent chains. The starting tier for Kada journeys — basis for the USD 1,200/day figure.

Every tier above Four Stars adjusts the investment upward.

Solo Travellers

A single supplement applies at most properties — hotel rates are calculated on double occupancy, and solo travellers pay a surcharge that varies by property and season. At certain Kada partner properties, the single supplement is absorbed entirely or partially, particularly for journeys of seven nights or more. Kada flags this option early in the planning conversation.
